What Is The Jezebel Spirit? Ten Ways To Recognize The Spirit of Control and Defeat It

One of the strategies that the devil uses against us in spiritual warfare is the spirit of control also referred to as the jezebel spirit. The spirit of jezebel is a demonic spirit that ultimately seeks to control and rule over people, especially God's people and the prophetic ministry.

What Is The Jezebel Spirit

Jezebel was the wicked and sinful wife of King Ahab of Israel in the Bible Old Testament. Jezebel was a Phoenician priestess and the daughter of a Sidonian king named Ethbaal. The marriage of Jezebel and King Ahab caused Israel to become saturated with the worship of Baal, Tammuz, Asheroth and other false gods. Jezebel's desire was to seduce God's people and turn their hearts away from serving and worship Him. Jezebel was a priestess and was very religious. Her worship of Baal was an idolatrous religion which includes the worship of false gods and idols. Jezebel caused God's people to participate in child sacrifices, homosexual sex acts, orgies, perverted sex acts, pagan rituals and immoral priestly services to God. Jezebel controlled Israel including her husband King Ahab whom she also converted to worship Baal. Today we call this same spirit of control that Queen Jezebel used against the people of God as The Jezebel Spirit. The Jezebel spirit is known as witchcraft which is a work of the flesh and without the Holy Spirit, you will not have dominion over this spirit.

What Is The Jezebel Spirit? Ten Ways To Recognize The Spirit of Control and Defeat It

Works Of The Flesh

As Christian, we must understand that our real struggle is with our flesh. Our flesh is at constant war against our spirit and without The Holy Spirit in our lives, our flesh will rule and cause us to walk in the ways that are contrary to the word of God. When our lives are not submitted to Christ and we are not controlled by the Holy Spirit, we are being controlled by our flesh and the ways of the world. Being controlled by our flesh leaves us open and vulnerable to be controlled by the Jezebel spirit as well as other demonic forces that have the open doors. The book of Galatians describes the works of the flesh to us and how we can walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. The only way for us to defeat Jezebel and the spirit of control is for us to be controlled by the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5: 16-21 (NLV)

16 I say this to you: Let the Holy Spirit lead you in each step. Then you will not please your sinful old selves.

17 The things our old selves want to do are against what the Holy Spirit wants. The Holy Spirit does not agree with what our sinful old selves want. These two are against each other. So you cannot do what you want to do.

18 If you let the Holy Spirit lead you, the Law no longer has power over you.

19 The things your sinful old self wants to do are: sex sins, sinful desires, wild living,

20 Worshiping false gods, witchcraft, hating, fighting, being jealous, being angry, arguing, dividing into little groups and thinking the other groups are wrong, false teaching,

21 Wanting something someone else has, killing other people, using strong drink, wild parties, and all things like these. I told you before and I am telling you again that those who do these things will have no place in the holy nation of God.

Ten Ways To Recognize The Character of Jezebel

(1) Uses other people to accomplish their goal: The Jezebel spirit is very clever and will uses other people to do their dirty work while they stay in the background pulling all the strings like a puppeteer until their agenda has been accomplished.

(2) Tells lies: The Jezebel spirit is very deceptive and charming and It will look you in the eyes and lie to you very convincingly. Her lies are so believable that she will have you second guessing what you know is true. She uses the seduction of her eyes to do this.

(3) Seeks revenge: The Jezebel spirit does not like to be wrong on any account and when confronted it will raise up like a snake and seek to attack you. As long as you agree with them on everything, you are safe from their wrath, but if you ever confront this spirit you will become their worst enemy.

(4) Extremely religious: This spirit loves to teach bible study and hold prayer meetings in their homes. They love to teach in their own homes so they are not held accountable to anyone for giving out false teachings. This spirit seeks out new babes in Christ who have no real solid foundation in the Word of God and will lead them astray by their clever and elaborate words and prayers. This is all done so the believer will become so fascinated by them that they will soon become followers of the Jezebel and not the Lord.

(5) Ignores people: The Jezebel spirit uses this tactic against someone when there has been a falling out or disagreement with this spirit. This is normally their way of punishing that a person for not agreeing with them.

(6) Takes credit for everything: The Jezebel spirit wants to be seen as having knowledge about everything. This spirit is quick to take the credit for things when it turns out wonderful and just as quick to not take responsibility when things go wrong. It always has to be right.

(7) Will not accept guilt or responsibility: According to a Jezebel spirit it is never wrong. This spirit will never repent or acknowledge that it was responsible for any wrongdoing.

(8) Volunteers for everything: The Jezebel spirit loves to control everything so it volunteers to be the leader over as much as they can. This way everything has to come through them in order for the project to take off and be successful in their eyes.

(9) Operates in confusion: Confusion will always keep the Jezebel spirit from being detected and exposed. The Jezebel spirit sends out confusion to the mind of people to maintain control and power as they continue to do their agenda.

(10) Clairvoyant: Many people who operate under this spirit of control or Jezebel spirit also have a clairvoyant spirit. A clairvoyant spirit is able to perceive or know things outside of human senses. Christians have the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth, but the Jezebel spirit has the help of a familiar spirit feeding them supernatural knowledge and information.

The Reasons Hydroelectric Power Is Here to Stay

The production side of the market for hydroelectricity can be described as typical and very similar to other markets in other economic sectors in that it is affected by gains in technology and other factors to increase productivity. There are many methods electricity suppliers use to produce electricity. However, hydroelectricity is still a unique way of producing electricity, with some potential ecological benefits, compared to using sources of energy creation like wind, nuclear or even coal.

Hydroelectric power does not have the potential external costs like emitting greenhouse gases, that of course, heat the planet up and lead to habitat destruction, like the destruction of coral reefs and even glaciers. For instance, when the planet warms up there is the potential for more hurricanes to develop simply because the oceans are warmer. Of course, there are some external costs. The massive displacement of people due to the creation of reservoirs, wildlife affects, and potential losses from catastrophic failure should also be factored in. However, many times these external costs can be mitigated through creating large state parks, as is the case for Lake Seminole, located in the Florida Panhandle, for everyone to enjoy. Water that is stored in Lake Seminole actually helps create an environment for fish species and other endangered wildlife as well as provided recreational opportunities for people. Obviously, the most important asset for hydroelectricity suppliers, in terms of producing electricity, is water. Rainfall results in more water to be stored in dam reservoirs, which then can be used to generate electricity.

Electricity is a commodity that should follow the Laws of Supply and Demand like any other good. The problem is that the rates paid by customers from energy suppliers don't always reflect the demand customers are willing to pay during a peak demand time frame. The best way to describe the issue with the inefficiency of the market for electricity is by explaining Price Elasticity. Let's take a simple example for calculating Price Elasticity for a good from a different market altogether, For instance, Play Station Games in 2007 dropped the price for their Play Station III game from 9 to 9. Sales increased from 1.4 million to 2.8 million. Using the Arc Price Elasticity of Demand method reveals a positive Price Elasticity of Demand of 7.32. This means that when the price is lowered from 9 to 9 consumers are sensitive to this change in price for PlayStation III games.

The Reasons Hydroelectric Power Is Here to Stay

Needless to say, if the cost of electrical rates increases or decreases throughout the daytime, the demand for electricity would fall and rise throughout this time period, that is, if consumption of electricity were to be truly price elastic, like the PlayStation III game. Perhaps technological innovations will be created one day that will enable all electricity users to pay electrical rates for the real time market price of real time use, thus, helping make energy market more efficient. Besides the market inefficiency explained above that is typical to the energy market as a whole, hydroelectric power is still the best source of power if its potential external costs are mitigated correctly by creating needed public parks or preservation areas for endangered wildlife.

The temple's priest was very poor, but he shared what little food he had with his pet, Tama. One day, a feudal lord was caught in a storm while hunting and he took refuge under a big tree near the temple. While he waited for the storm to pass, the man notice Tama, the priest's cat, beckoning him to come inside the temple gate. The rooster is said to quell arguments, backstabbing and politicking. Also, pointing the beak of a rooster towards a beam or column in the home will deflect the negative chi they can bring.

Tiger: The tiger is considered the king of the wild animals. It is seen as a symbol for royalty, power and fearlessness. An image of the Tiger is believed to dissipate negative chi. The Tiger is very important in Feng Shui because its stripes represent the auspicious balance of Yin and Yang.

Turtles: The turtle symbolizes support, longevity, endurance, wealth, happy family, long generations, good luck and fortune. Because the turtle is one of the celestial animals, it is said to possess protective powers as well. Legend tells us that the turtle has in his body the secret of heaven and earth and the design on his shell shows the Lo Shu magic square which is the guide for life. Turtles can be placed anywhere, but you should really have at least one in the North sector of your home. They can be facing in different directions based on what they are made of. For example: place crystal turtles facing North, metal turtles facing West, wooden facing East or Southeast, ceramic facing Southwest or Northeast. The Dragon Headed Turtle is a powerful symbol of wealth, health, prosperity and protection and should be placed in the North or the Southeast.

Wild Geese: Because wild geese always fly in pairs, they are excellent to put in SW part of your home or bedroom to enhance your romantic relationship. Geese are messengers of good news and represent the married state.

The Shameful Secret of Illiteracy in America

The word is not just a sound or a written symbol. The word is a force; it is the power you have to express and communicate, to think, and thereby to create the events in your life. - Don Miguel Ruiz

One New Jersey woman, "Maria," read at a third grade level. She held a job and fudged her way through everyday tasks without reading. When she would go to a restaurant, she would order what she knew was on the menu - a hamburger, salad or grilled chicken - or point to someone else's plate at the next table and ask "for what he's having." Maria even went so far as to keep her illiteracy a secret even from her husband of ten years. Because she could not read the mail, she would pretend that she forgot her glasses at work or say that she had been too busy to open the mail and ask her husband to do it. One day, they were walking past a shop window with a sign in it. As they looked at the display, the husband suddenly realized that his wife could not read. Maria was embarrassed and humiliated. But she sought help and now reads, works on a computer and teaches others to read.

In 2002, before the Subcommittee on Education Reform Committee on Education and the Workforce, United States House of Representatives, actor James Earl Jones testified: "92 million Americans have low or very low literacy skills - they cannot read above the 6th grade level. To be illiterate in America - or anywhere for that matter - is to be unsafe, uncomfortable and unprotected. For the illiterate, despair and defeat serve as daily fare. Can any of us who do know how to read really understand the sadness that is associated with the inability to read? Can we truly relate to the silent humiliation, the quiet desperation that can't be expressed, the hundreds of ways that those who cannot read struggle in shame to keep their secret? The struggle out of illiteracy ... is still a part of the story of America."

The Shameful Secret of Illiteracy in America

Today, our nation faces an epidemic that is destructive to our future. The disease is functional illiteracy. According to the most recent National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), it has overtaken one-third of America's children by the fourth grade - including two-thirds of African-American students and almost half of all children in the inner cities.

The basic definition of literacy is the ability to read and write. So the basic definition of illiteracy is the inability to read and write.

Beyond the basic definitions, there is significance in the shocking statistics about the functionally illiterate. What illiteracy means is that millions may not be able to understand the directions on a medicine bottle, or be able to read their telephone bill, make correct change at a store, find and keep a job, or read to a child.

Illiteracy has long been viewed as a social and educational issue - someone else's problem. However, more recently we have come to understand the economic consequences of the lack of literacy skills for America and American business.

Illiteracy has a significant impact on the economy. According to Nation's Business magazine, 15 million adults holding jobs today are functionally illiterate. The American Council of Life Insurance reports that three quarters of the Fortune 500 companies provide some level of remedial training for their workers. And, a study done by the Northeast Midwest Institute and The Center for Regional Policy found that business losses attribute to basic skill deficiencies run into the hundreds of millions of dollars because of low productivity, errors and accidents.

In addition, as reported in the 1986 publication entitled Making Literacy Programs Work: A Practical Guide for Correctional Educators (for the U.S. Department of Justice, National Institute of Corrections), one-half of all adults in federal and state correctional institutions cannot read or write at all. Only about one-third of those in prison have completed high school.

Evidence indicates that the problem begins at home. A National Governors' Association Task Force on Adult Literacy reported that illiteracy is an inter-generational problem, following a parent-child pattern. Poor school achievement and dropping out before completing school are commonplace among children of illiterate parents.

The reasons for illiteracy are as varied as the number of non-readers. The adult non-reader may have left school early, may have had a physical or emotional disability, may have had ineffectual teachers or simply may have been unready to learn at the time reading instruction began.

Because they are unable to help their children learn, parents who can't read often perpetuate the inter-generational cycle of illiteracy. Without books, newspapers or magazines in the home and a parent who reads to serve as a role model, many children grow up with severe literacy deficiencies. Clearly, there is no single cause of illiteracy.

Adults have many reasons for requesting reading help. Many are prompted by the need for increased levels of literacy in their jobs. Others may wish to read to a child, read the Bible or write to a family member for the first time. All express a hope for a better quality of life through higher levels of literacy.

According to Barbara Bush, "It suddenly occurred to me that every single thing I worry about - the breakup of families, drugs, AIDS, the homeless - everything would be better if more people could read, write and understand."

Let us all do what we can to make illiteracy not a part of the story of American today but a part of America's past.
